these American Sign Language alphabet hand shapes are made in half double crochet & each are 14 stitches wide so you could fit quite a few as colorwork onto some of my base patterns such as my oversized pullover, oversized cardigan, or pair of vests & free patterns such as babydoll dress pattern, holly halter top, or abracadabra halter

each graph MUST start on an odd row of your project
you will need about 10g light color & 5g dark color per each hand graphic
if you are spelling something out, be sure to leave about 2 stitches between each letter, and at least 5 stitches between each word
optional: you can use stitch fiddle links to make a copy and copy/paste the hands onto a blank project graph & track your progress

you can use any hook & yarn combination that suits your project for these graphs; I used size 4 worsted weight yarn & 4mm hook
