♡ MY COLORWORK INSTRUCTIONS ♡
this project must be done in HDC & 1 graph square = 1 HDC
head & tail graphs must start on an odd row
if you were to change the direction of the graphs (mirrored) then you must start them on even rows
even numbered rows will be the wrong side if you are right handed
odd numbered rows will be the wrong side if you are left handed
read the graph from right to left on odd rows, and left to right on even rows
long cat head graph is 12 rows tall; start on an odd row
requires about 10g black in medium worsted weight yarn (4)
with 5mm hook & the following gauge: 5 rows of 6 hdc = 2x2” you should have a finished graphic about 5 inches tall

on my autumn olive oversized pullover pattern, I started the tail graph on row 11 and the head graph on row 27 on a size medium; I ran the 5 row body stripe out to each end of the panel
on the back I created a diagonal slope by divvying up the body height difference (15 rows) into 15 sections, all 5 rows thick — each section is 6 stitches wide and I made the first and last couple sections each a stitch longer when it didn’t divide perfectly
